Our Practice Areas
Trials
Slattery Petersen is a firm of trial lawyers, not litigators. We have tried cases from coast-to-coast and the Virgin Islands. In doing so, we have performed every role including lead counsel, second chair, additional trial counsel, advanced motion and appellate counsel, and local counsel. Every role is important to a successful outcome. We have tried cases that we worked up from inception. We also have stepped in as lead or additional trial counsel mid-stream and even after discovery was complete, just before trial. Through this experience we have learned that trying cases effectively is a skill that few litigators enjoy and even fewer do well. We love trying cases and stand ready to do so anytime, anywhere. Because we are trial lawyers, we approach pretrial activities as a means of creating the themes that will tell a convincing story at trial and not on activities that merely build up hours and fees or are unlikely to have a significant effect on the trial outcome.
